Scheduling a Certification Exam

1. Creating an NHA Online Account:

Start by going to the NHA website - www.nhanow.com. If this is your first time registering for an exam, click on REGISTER from the left menu. If you already have an NHA account, click on LOG-IN under Returning Students.
Complete the Personal Information section to create your NHA account. Please be sure all information is complete and accurate.

2. Scheduling the Exam:

Once you have logged on to the NHA website you will be given the following menu. Click on Schedule an Exam:

To take an NHA Certification exam you must meet one of the following requirements. Select Yes to at least one of the following questions and complete the required information. Then click continue:

You will then be asked if you are testing as part of a program at your school. If you select Yes, you must be a part of the program. Your name will be submitted to the school prior to testing and will be removed if you are not a part of that school. If you are not testing at a school, select No to test at a testing center.
If Yes, you will be asked to select your school from a list of schools in the state you entered in your profile. If you are completing a program in a state different from that in your profile, you must select the correct state on this screen. If your school is not listed, please contact us.
Once you have selected your school, you will be presented with a list of available certification exams and/or packages that your school has scheduled. If you do not see the expected certification exam, please contact your school:

Once you select the Certification Exam you want to take, it will ask you to choose your exam date. If you do not see the expected exam date on the list, please contact your school:

If you select a Certification Package, you must select a date for all certification exams in that package.
You will not be able to select a date if you are not testing with your school or the selected school utilizes our testing centers

3. Candidate Attestation:

To continue with your exam registration, you must Read and Agree to the information on the NHA Candidate Attestation form. This form is presented to you before you complete your order.

4. Completing your Online Order and Registration:

You will be asked to review your order for accuracy before completion. Please verify the Certification Type, Testing Site, Exam Date and prices before submitting your payment. NHA accepts the following forms of online payment: Debit Cards, Credit Cards, Personal Checks or Money Orders (via eCheck). Please DO NOT mail payment to NHA.
If you are unable to take the exam on the date selected, you may reschedule your exam one time at no charge. All NHA products are non-refundable and nontransferable.
