Qualified, Certified Candidates

MedCerts graduates will hold one or more of these certifications from the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB):

The National Healthcareer Association was established in 1989, and has issued over 200,000 certifications to Allied Healthcare professionals. Those who pass the exam will be recognized as a Nationally Certified Allied Healthcare professional.

The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) was established in 1995 and is governed by five organizations: the American Pharmacists Association; the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists; the Illinois Council of Health-System Pharmacists; the Michigan Pharmacists Association; and the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy. It is important that there be a single national standard for pharmacy technician certification that is recognized and supported by the profession. PTCB has served this role since it was established in 1995.
