The MedCerts recruiting program is a unique opportunity for employers to recruit certified candidates that have recieved comprehensive high quality training for careers as Medical Office Assistants and Administrators, Pharmacy Technicians, Medical Billing Specialists, Electronic Health Records and Reimbursement Specialists, and more.
Qualified, Certified Candidates
MedCerts graduates will hold one or more of these certifications from the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB):
- The Certified Electronic Health Records Specialist (CEHRS)
- The Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
- The Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS)
- The Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA)
- The Microsoft Office Specialist 2010 (MOS 2010)
The National Healthcareer Association was established in 1989, and has issued over 200,000 certifications to Allied Healthcare professionals. Those who pass the exam will be recognized as a Nationally Certified Allied Healthcare professional.
The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) was established in 1995 and is governed by five organizations: the American Pharmacists Association; the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists; the Illinois Council of Health-System Pharmacists; the Michigan Pharmacists Association; and the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy. It is important that there be a single national standard for pharmacy technician certification that is recognized and supported by the profession. PTCB has served this role since it was established in 1995.
